Say something — fifteen seconds at most. It is kept in this glass's shed, written down, and turned into a voice that can say new lines. Everyone at the bench can hear it. (The shed holds everything of a glass that is not the piece: voices, files, peripherals.)
Pick a voice, type words it never said, and the GLASS says them — out of its own speakers, in the room.
Every glass keeps the same time. The bar is 4000 ms and the phrase is 14 bars; a piece can wait for its own bar and the room becomes one instrument. Everything about time lives here.
⏳ the rhythm controls — which bars each glass owns, the length of the bar and of the phrase, a downbeat for the whole room — are designed and not built yet. Until then every glass reads the shared clock and takes bar n, where n is its number.
